Silvan Primordial is broken. Part of the appeal of the format is using cool cards that never found a place in competitive magic. Now we get cards that are just do the same things better.

That was just a topic we had in our Cardcrafter’s meeting.

I don’t agree completely with the reader, but if Wizards is discussing how they approach Commander design, this could be a really good thing for the format. If Development starts bringing on experienced Commander players the way they headhunt pro players, we could start seeing balanced and fun Commander cards becoming a priority in every set.

In my opinion from the look of things this is already a thing though.

If that was the case, Griselbrand and Sylvan Primordial would not have been printed. Prossh isn’t broken, but I feel like his power level is higher than it should be (and possibly higher than R&D intended it to be). There are signs that R&D doesn’t fully understand the format, and I don’t think Wizards would have been discussing the issue in their cardcrafter’s meeting yesterday if they had already come to a solution.

It’s difficult for me to imagine them headhunting commander players. Experience with many formats is certainly a plus for potential interns/employees, but Standard is their bread and butter. I know the Commander products have been successful, but I can’t imagine the sort of numbers they’d have to see from that to make the decision to recruit someone just for Commander. It’s definitely evident that they don’t have nearly as much experience with it as they do with stuff developed for Standard.

"Bringing on" may have been misleading; I’d be happy if they just made sure that they had existing WotC employees with Commander knowledge on their design/development teams. And Commander is the second most popular constructed format in the game (after Standard, of course), so it seems reasonable to expect Wizards to take some responsibility for the effect they have on the format.

The format is fan made. Fans decide what is too powerful through the official and house ban lists. There aren’t any pro tours for commander that I know of, but there are for standard and modern. Wizards is going to keep designing for standard and modern more so then commander.

So sjw’s, answer me this. Why, when we talk about gay rights, are you all “You’re born that way! it isn’t a choice!” but when we talk about straight people, you’re all “ew, cishet scum! Go die! Gay Pride! Fuck straight people! Go gay!”

I mean no offense to gay people,…

Even still, that’s no reason to be bigoted toward an entire group of people.

So now when you do Alt + Reblog, the reblog symbol turns green, “explodes” and then disappears.

I will never understand why stripping is seen as degrading.

Like…the job description is literally “I am so hot that you could never get me in real life so you’re going to have to pay me to dance for you.”

????

I really like that description.

FUN FACT: The average stripper’s annual salary is 120k.

GUESS WHO’S GOING TO TRAIN TO BE A STRIPPER

That’s a lot of muscle training… I’m.assuming pole stripper.

Because our lives are not defined by romance and sex and we deserve better and more diverse stories than that.

"If straight people don’t get to gawk over your sex lives then what’s the point of you existing?"

Asking why something that is so inherently tied to love/sex is involved when neither are present in the story doesn’t make you an ass hole. This anon wasn’t being an ass. It was asking out of curiousity.

And flavored water, carbonated water, colored water and diet water. Oh and air.

I have no problems seeing food, talking about it and I have to triggers. All this people bitching about it should get out of the internet and seek real help.

The fine people I know with severe depression issues/suicide are pretty open about talking about it with others suffering from the same thing. I agree.

[snip snip]

Yeah, people making jokes about killing themselves when they aren’t serious is not only not-funny, it delegitimizes people with actual depression/suicide issues.

I wouldn’t say it triggers me as much as creates a profound distaste for people of that kind.

<3 Eros

You may not find it funny, but sometimes I find it hilarious.

That’s your prerogative I guess. Different strokes for different folks.

<3 Eros

Pretty much. Sometimes I dislike/hate gay jokes, but the person telling them has the right to tell them and the people who find it funny have the right to find it funny.
